Abstract
The authenticity and the chain of narration (isnād) of the text known as Ziyārat ʿĀshūrāʾ have long been subjects of discussion among Shīʿī scholars. Beyond its spiritual significance and the personal experiences of believers, this note approaches the question text-critically.
